Captain Splash

About 60% of our bodies are made of water, and we can only survive 3 days without it.  Clearly, water is important!  It plays many roles in our bodies: it transports nutrients, protects our organs, keeps our body temperature regular and more.   We lose water through breathing, sweating, and digesting, so it’s important to drink water frequently.

Captain Barana Banana

Bananas are a tasty and convenient fruit. They’re high in potassium which keeps your heart and muscles moving regularly. Every time you kick a soccer ball or run, potassium is at play.  They also contain fibre and prebiotics, which build healthy bacteria in your intestines.  This helps you digest food properly and use the bathroom frequently.

Corn is rich in Vitamin B12, folic acid and iron.  Together, these nutrients help build red blood cells, which bring oxygen around the body.  This helps with every movement – from blinking to stretching and breathing.  Corn is also a whole grain, meaning that it has lots of nutrients and fibre that keep your digestion smooth and energy levels steady.

Potatoes have carbohydrates, which give you energy. In fact, carbs are the only source of energy for your brain. That means potatoes can help keep you alert and focused throughout the day. The B vitamins in potatoes help our body use the carbs.  Think of it as unlocking the energy and releasing it for our body.
